The new year is off to a productive start with vloggers traveling, sharing, educating and getting going on their new year's resolutions. But, it's not all roses. Here are some of the vlogs we saw this week:
Travels
We've seen some vloggers sharing their recent trips with us.. Myhousewifelife's Jen has been in Park City, Utah sharing the beautiful snowy scenery and their family post-Christmas celebrations and vacationing with us. TobyTurner headed out to Hawaii and has been having loads of fun. Elle finished out Christmas at home with her family. JoeyGraceffa returned from Boston where he visited family and had a meetup with fans. His buddies Luke and Ingrid just got back from their adventures with Luke's family in snowy Iowa where they shared snow fort making and other holiday family fun with us. They're back in L.A. and back to the hard work of playing games... Sam Pepper is also in L.A. which seems to be a popular destination this time of year. Could it be the weather? Although, Sam might be in L.A. for good. We'll see.
What's Up in Tech
On a brighter note, Chris Pirillo of Lockergnome, through his partnership with Parallels is giving away an iMac and it's huge! Recently, he gave away iPads and we're hoping he continues the trend of generosity! We're looking forward to his trip to CES International in Las Vegas next week where he'll be at the AMD booth and possible live streaming from the show. In other Lockergnome news, fans were a little worried there for a few days when Chris' wife Diana seemed to disappear, but before long she came back from her "vlogcation" and seemed to be her naturally cheerful self. Phew, we'd hate to lose Diana. They were both back in full force for New Year's Eve when Chris did a live Subservient Chris show and we appreciated the Bloggers and Vloggers shout out. We're looking forward to Chris' vlogger event he's planning for Seattle during the summer and to hear the final event name... Oh yeah, and this week Chris did some technology reviews, too. :)

The Scarier Side of Vlogging
On a more serious note, Kateroneseven abruptly announced that after approximately 800 days of vlogging, she would stop vlogging, but then came back with her Let's Talk vlog to explain that she's been receiving death threats and has been stalked resulting in the breaking-in of her car by a viewer. Combined with an onslaught of negative comments, she shared that it was all too much for her. But, she's come back to share what's been going on behind-the-scenes and that she will continue vlogging, but perhaps in safer formats. It's a good reminder for us all to vlog safely. We send our best to Kate and Cory during this difficult time.

Congratulations to the YouTubers featured in and on the cover of the UK edition of Wired Magazine, including Tanya Burr! Tanya's fiance Jim Chapman shared the news in his Tree vlog and Tanya posted a picture of the cover on her Instagram.
Vlog of the Week
It was tough to choose this week, but the vlog of the week has to go to Lockergnome for the live Subservient Chris on New Year's Eve since Chris and Diana chose to spend their time celebrating with the vlogger community!
